Information We Collect
To operate the Somos app and provide studio services, the following information may be collected and stored:
Personal Information

This information is used to identify users and manage accounts.
Studio & Preference Information
If provided, the following information may also be stored:

Dance level

Dance role or preference (e.g. leader / follower)

Class preferences and attendance history
This information is used solely to personalize the studio experience and manage class eligibility.
Booking & Membership Information
Information related to participation in studio activities, including:

Classes booked and attended
•
Memberships and passes held
•
Booking history
Payment Information
Records of payments are stored, such as:

Which class or pass was purchased
•
Payment status and payment method used
Raw credit card or banking details are not stored. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, a certified payment provider.
How Your Data Is Used
Data is used exclusively for:

Account identification and authentication
•
Managing bookings, classes, and memberships
•
Determining class eligibility and access
•
Essential communication related to accounts and bookings
Personal data is not used for advertising or tracking purposes.
Data Sharing
Personal data is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties.
No personally identifiable information is shared with cloud-based AI or machine-learning providers (including OpenAI or similar services).
If internal analysis or automation tools are used, all identifying information is removed beforehand.
Data Security
Industry-standard technical and organizational security measures are used to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
Access to personal data is restricted to what is strictly necessary to operate the app and studio services.
Data Retention
Data is retained only for as long as an account remains active or as required to provide the app’s core functionality.
Once an account is deleted, all associated personal data is removed in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
Account Deletion
Accounts and all associated data can be deleted directly within the Somos app:
1. Open the app and go to **Profile**
2. In the **Contact Data** section, tap **Edit**
3. Tap **Delete Account Entirely** and confirm
Once confirmed, the account is scheduled for deletion and a confirmation email is sent. This action is irreversible.
Your Rights
Depending on location, users may have the right to:

Access personal data

Request correction or deletion
•
Withdraw consent where applicable
